Gellin'

Hello again I hope everyone is having a good Friday night. I decided to stay at home today and watch a movie with my hubby since we will be going out tomorrow night to Mardi Gras parades.  Well anyways I decided to go ahead and make a quick post of this card that I have been working on.  I finally completed it and I LOVE how it came out I am entering it in a contest Here.

The fish bowl and everything else are from Create a Critter Cartridge and I used my gypsy to weld two fish bowels together and I cut them at  5 inches each, the jellyfish is cut at 2.50 inches I stamped his face using Peachy Keen Stamps Wide Eyed assortment same for the starfish.  As far as the saying goes I just typed it up on my computer, printed it out and used a circle cutter to cut it and then I used an ink pad to pass it around the edges.  Oh one more thing I did cut out acetate to put on top to make it look like a real fish bowl but not sure if you can tell from the picture.

Thank you card

This afternoon my mom asked me to make her a thank you card for her. She is a teacher at a catholic school so she told me what she wanted and this is what I came up with. Tell me your thoughts.

I used Photoshop to create the image then I printed it on card stock I cut the rock image from create a critter it is actually the igloo shadow. Then I used paper studio ribbon. Flower shaped embellishments. Black signo gel pen for stitching. Martha Stewart glitter for around the card. Oh yeah for card base I used lacy labels.

Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge

The challenge for this week over at Scrappy Moms Stamps was to create a card using any cut from the create a critter cartridge. So I decided to use the zebra that is on this cartridge. I love this cartridge so I am trying to use different animals each time I use it. As far as my card goes I used the following:
Create a critter cartridge- for zebra cut at 3 inches fab was cut at 2.50
Lacy labels cartridge for card base which I cut at 5 inches and I welded two together on my gypsy to make the base. Then I cut another one to put on top at 4.29 inches.
Card stock used were from scraps from all over
Stickles for hearts
Ribbon is from paper studio
Flower brad
Peachy Keen Critter faces stamps used for zebras face
Dimensional's to adhere the zebra and the word Fab.

Let me know what you all think about this card.

Aww Nuts

First I would like to say sorry for not posting much this past week.  I have been super busy with work and my daughter, so I have not had much time at all to scrap.  I finally got a chance to work on a card that I have been wanting to work on for days today.  It did not come out exactly like I hoped it would but it will work since I did not want to recut it all over again.  I hope that you all enjoy it.

Don't know why but it looks as if he has fangs lol. OH WELL  I cut the nut from Create a Critter at 7 in, welded two together on my gypsy. I ran the top part through the Cuttlebug with the swirls folder then I just outlined the swirls in glue and sprinkled martha stewart glitter onto it.  cut the chipmunk out from Mickey Mouse cartridge at 2.50 in, the white fence is also from the same cartridge it was cut at 2 and then the grass is from Plantin cut at 1.5.  As far as paper goes I am not sure what came from what because I used scraps.

Wanted to show that I used pop dots for the white fence that way I could put the chipmunk behind it and it would look like he was actually standing behind the fence.

My First Guest Designer Project

My first post as a Guest Designer. I am so excited!!! YAY ME!!!

Paula over at More Than Favors asked me to be her Guest Designer for this weeks Wacky Wednesday Challenge.
The challenge this week is a Wedding Theme.

I was so unsure of what I was going to do for this project.  I did not own any wedding themed cartridges. So I brainstormed for a while.  Until I was able to come up with something.

I just recently purchased the Create A Critter cartridge and so I was looking through everything on it and ran across the penguins.  That is when it hit me, they were perfect. So I decided to use them in making my card.

Here's the details on how I created this cute card....
Colobok textured cardstock in white
The paper studio solid silver glitter paper
The Paper studio white, and red glitter paper
The Paper studio Mr.& Mrs. ribbon
Acetate sheet
I rock ( for the silver jewels around the brides head that hold her vail)
Not sure if you can really see the vail hope this pic will let you see it a little bit
Jolees boutique dimensional stickers(Bride and Groom for rings on top of card)
Colorbok midnight stickers ( for sentiment inside of card and outside of card)
Penguins and layers cut approx 2.5 from Create A Critter
Heart cut approx .60 from Plantin Schoolbook
Snowglobe cut and whelded together with my gypsy at 5.65

Addition Specs:

I used my Gypsy to weld 2 snow globes together and I also opened a new layer and just put one snow globe at 5.65 so I could cut the acetate and the silver glitter paper for bottom of globe.  The silver glitter paper I had to cut the bottom off the globe with scissor to make it fit on the bottom of the welded snow globes.  So I technically only needed the bottom of the globe but there was  no way to just cut the bottom, so I had to cut the whole globe out.

I really hope that you all enjoy my card and I hope that you stop by my blog more often.

MOO

A couple of weeks ago(2) I got my contacts from my uncle who happens to be an eye doctor and he got them to me really fast and best of all free. I am so grateful he did this for me. Usually my contacts run really really high because I am almost blind so I was so excited to find out that he was gracious enough to let me have them. I decided that I would mail him a thank you card so this is what I created for him.

This card came together very quickly. I think sometimes that the less you think about a card the cuter it comes out sometimes.  What do you all think?

This is a 5X8 card, the cow is from Create A Critter I cut the cow at 3 inches and the ribbon is from Paper studio. As for the saying I actually just typed it up and printed it on cardstock and used a circle punch and punch it out to look like I stamped it. Then I used some pink ink and rubbed it around the edges. I did use Peachy Keen critter faces that I won from Joy from Joyslife.com on the cows face.

Valentine Treat Bags

So I decided to make treat bags for our staff at work since we will be having a staff meeting on Valentine's Day.  I though it is not that many of us it should not take me long at all.  Boy was I wrong I spent all afternoon working on them and I only fully completed 2 bags.  Our staff is not that big we only have 21 members but I decided to do two designs and make them really pretty.  Bad IDEA! I should have stuck to short and simple.  Oh well, a lesson learned.  So here they are I hope every one likes them as much as I do.

Recipe:
dino from cricut cartridge cut at 2 inches
bug from cricut cartridge cut at 2 inches
lacy labels background cut at ( not sure I will have to double check) lol
colorful cardstock for background
stickles and white gell pen for added detail

I am hoping to be able to film my first video tomorrow or Friday on this project, I will keep you posted , wish me luck.

My Cute dinosaur I used stickles to ouline the Dino Mite and also to color in the spikes on his back (I dont think you can see this in this pic).

Love Bug stickles were used to outline love bug and her wings and heart white gel pen was used to make fake stitching around the border

Blue and Yellow Stationary Set

I decided to create my mom a stationary set for her desk at school after seeing it on another blog.  The good thing about creating it is that I killed two birds with one stone, I got the stationary set done for her and I am also going to be able to enter it in another challenge at More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday Challenge. The challenge was to create something blue, yellow and white.  I love how my stationary set turned out. I am still going to add a couple more details to it but I wanted to go ahead and enter it in the challenge before it was too late.  Comments and questions are always welcomed.

Stationary Set includes:
2 3x3 mini cards
2 3.5 tags
2 Thank you cards
1 address book
1 pen
a pocket for stamps

Stationary Set Closed I still need to add some finishing touches to the outside of the box

One of the Thank You cards that I created to go in the inside of the box.  I used the Create- A Critter Cartridge for most of the images

Honey Bee Card

While looking through the Create A Critter cartridge I noticed the bee hive that is an accessory to the bee.  I  was trying to think of a creative way to use it in a valentine card instead of just making a normal 8x5 card, so that I could enter it in another challenge which is the Card Creations and More by C So Saturday Challenge. If you would like to check it out click HERE. This is what I came up with for the challenge let me know what you all think.

I welded two bee hives together on my gypsy which I then cut out at 5 inches.

This is what I stamped on the inside of the card

I cut the cute little bee at 3 inches and for his wings I used vellum clear paper and I just bent them up a bit so they would look like she was flapping her wings.

Sweet Baby Card

This card is just too cute.  I used the Doodlecharms cartridge to create it and my gypsy. It was pretty straight forward to create it.  I just cute the diaper bag out and then cut out the teddy bear, bottle, duck, and little girl.  I also added an initial to the bottom of the card. For the inside I used rub on stickers.

Card closed with all of its goody's I love the little girl she is so cute with her one curl.

Cute Valentine's Card

After I created the card for Momo's challenge I decided to make another valentine's day card. I created a cute card using the following cartridges:
Lacy Labels for the card( which i welded together on my gypsy)
Indie Art for the lips

Then I just used black, white, pink, and glitter pink cardstock. I also used a heart punch to punch out the little hearts at the bottom. I finally outline the card with red stickles just to give it a little kick.  Comments are always appreciated.

Another Challenge

Ok so I am entering in another challenge.  I am entering Momo's Challenge from madebymomo.blogspot.com, you can find the link to her challenge HERE.  The only rules for this challenge were to make a card that used the following colors: Hot pink, white and black and included a heart in some way.

I thought very hard about this I wanted to make a very cute card and I believe I achieved it. Let me know what you all think about it.

I decided to make a stand up card.  I used black cardstock as my base color and then I did white and then the hot pink hearts paper.

I kept it simple, simply because the hot pink paper was really busy I think. So i just used my cricut to cut out Hello Kitty from the Hello Kitty cartridge and I added some pop dots and I was done with that.

then i stamped Happy Valentines Day on the message card

This is how the card looks like closed
