Chocolate Bunny

I am back with another Easter card which I had a lot of fun making and I am super excited to share with everyone. Every time I go to Walmart around Easter time I always see these huge chocolate bunnies that are covered in gold foil in a box. I always thought who can possibly eat all that chocolate?(I did not know they were hollow until my husband told me) anyways they always catch my attention, so I decided that I would make a card in there honor. Let me know what you all think about. I really love how it turned out.

For the bunny I used gypsy wandering cartridge cut at 2.50 (in order to make the bunny look like an actual chocolate bunny I had to cut the bunny out 8 times and glue them all together to get it to look thick.)
I recently purchased the cutest paper stack from hobby lobby it's called Sweet Treats from DCWV and that is where the brown and flower like paper came from the green paper is just from a pastel pack I purchased at Walmart.
The ribbon I also purchased at hobby lobby in the easter section
As far as the saying inside the scalloped circle( medium punch the paper studio) I just typed it up on my computer and then printed it and punch it.
Last but not least and my favorite part is the gold wrapper around my chocolate bunny. Well to make a long story short I was messing around with some mod podge today and it suddenly hit me. I got some aluminum foil cut it to the length I needed it then I covered it with mod podge and while it was still wet I sprinkled martha Stewart gold glitter all on it. At first I was worried that it wouldn't stick well enough when I was wrapping it around my bunny but it held up really well actually. I will try to make a quick video demonstrating this when I get back on Friday from a work trip. In case anybody wants to see how to do it.

This is the inside of my card again I used DCWV paper from the sweet treats stack I like the fact that it fits with my chocolate theme. The paper has the words chocolate all over it. Not sure where I got the stamp from.

I even made a matching envelope to go with my card. Here is my chocolate bunny out of his beautiful foil. Doesn't he just look yummy?

Inside liner of envelope even matches

Envelope and card.

Challenge:
I am entering this card over at Fantabulouscricut the challenge is to create a spring card.

CCCC#10 and Challenge Me Monday #52

The CCCC#10 challenge involves using doodle charms cartridge and for the Challenge Me Mondaychallenge involves making a birthday card. I decided to combine the two challenges and make one card that fits both. I made a pop up birthday card. I used doodle charms cartridge to make the party hat and the candies. The rest came from the hello kitty cartridge. As far as the card shape goes I took two shape one from plantin school book and one from lacy labels and welded it together to get the card shape. If anyone has any question or would like more information on how I made this card feel free to leave me a comment. I hope everyone enjoys.

The happy birthday and the hello kitty actually pop up when you open the card the party hat is attached with pop dots and the candies are also. The card in the middle is a little spot to write a note.

Another challenge

It's been a while since I last posted on here and I do apologize I have been swamped with work. I have had no time to work on anything. Hopefully things will start slowing down now and I will be able to post more then just once a week. Now onto the challenge which is over at Fantabulouscricut the challenge for this week is to create a square card using the colors green and gold.I am also entering it at scrappy moms which was to create a card using the sugar and spice cartridge. The last place I am entering it in is over at Wacky Wednesday challenge at More Than Favors blog the challenge there is to create a St Patricks day theme. Below you will find my creation I decided to make a card that slides to open instead of the usual. I really was not sure of how it would look like in the end but i am very pleased with it.

Card base and layers are from sugar and spice cartridge, lucky and the horse shoe are from create a critter cartridge and the four leaf clover is hearts welded together on the gypsy. I used stickles to outline the word lucky.

Here is a close up of my heart four leaf clovers which I used glossy accents on also

Here you can see the card opened. It slides to the side. I just put a prong in the middle of the four leaf clover in order for the card to do this.

Please do not forget that if you like what you see please follow my blog. I really do appreciate it.

Toad-ally awesome

Over the weekend after going to see the parades my mom asked me if I could make her some thank you cards for some of her students. I said sure why not. She wanted something short and sweet. So I decided to make 4x4 cards for her with the create a critter cartridge. Hope you all like them I had a lot of fun making them. Like always feel free to comment and if you are not already following me please add me. One last thing I am working on some birthday invitations that I need to have done by Friday(wish me luck not sure if that's possible) so be on the look out for that post. I will tell you one thing the cards are toy story related(boy that cartridge has a lot of cuts for every character. ).

I even created matching envelopes for each card but the pictures I took came out all blurry sorry about that.
