Happy memorial day

Hello all my crafty friends
I am very excited today since this is my first post as a special guest designer over at Exploring Cricut . I had complete full range on what I wanted to do on this project which is awesome by the way, So I thought. I couldn't decide on what I wanted to. I kept thinking of projects and then saying,"no that's not what I want to do". Then it finally hit me, I thought well this post is going to go live on Memorial Day so lets do a memorial day themed project. And so I did exactly that. I hope you enjoy and I went a little photo crazy so bare with me.

First is the picture of my whole project. It is a little hard to see details because I had to back up some to get everything in the picture. Don't worry though I have plenty of close up pictures.

I will start with the easiest, the rosettes. The little ones you see hanging in the middle those were created using the ribbons and rosettes cricut cartridge. The big ones you see I created using an SVG file from SVG Cuts called Made in the USA.

Next we will talk about the cupcakes. For the pics I used plantin schoolbook cricut cartridge. I just used a circle and a star and cut them out. For the cupcake wrappers again I used the Made in the USA kit. Now for the cute little stand you see those cupcake on I used another SVG file from SVG Cuts called Popular Street Tulips. I love the files over at SVG Cuts they are super simple to put together and super cute.

Last but not least the Uncle Sam like hat. I used the Made in the USA file agin for this hat but I just made it bigger then it comes on the file. I wanted it to be more of a center piece. I cut it out with decorative paper and also I decorated each side with something memorial dayie.

The star is from Plantin Schoolbook and I just scored it so it would look 3D.

The cute little kid silhouette and that adorable flower you see both came from the Made in the USA kit.

The little rosette came from the ribbons and rosettes cartridge. I actually was going to hang it but I ran out of room to hang it so I decided to attach it to the hat instead.

The little menu and food name stands I found online on a website but I cannot remember where and I thought I saved the link but I guess I didn't I do apologize for that.
Well I hope you have enjoyed my memorial day mini party. Please Don't forget to comment I love to read your comments. If you are not a follower also please follow me I would love to have more followers.

Picture cube

Ok so I have been waiting off on posting this project because I wanted to post it after my mother in laws bday since I was giving it to her as a present. I didn't want her to come across it and spoil the surprise.

For my project I used the 3D dice from The Green Room Kit from SVG Cuts for the photo cubes. I cut out 6 cubes and before glueing them together I had 6 pictures that I had chosen already cut up and ready to be glued on to the sides of my cubes. (By the way i used 6 4x6 photos.) Make sure you glue them before hand that way they will get a good hold.

This is what each one of my cubes looked like there was a part of a different picture on each side of the cube so when you got all 6 cubes together they would form a complete picture for a total of 6 different pictures.

Well I didn't want to stop there I wanted something to put them in that would hold them neatly and securely so I could give them to her. So I started thinking and then SVG Cuts released there 3D numbers kit and it was perfect for my project. I know you are thinking but how or why was that perfect. Well I used the cupcake box and modified it so instead of holding cupcakes it could hold my 6 photo cubes.

This is how it turned it. I LOVE IT!!! For the flowers you see on the outside of the box I used SVG Cuts Lunch with Mom kit . I actually added a cute tag that said happy birthday land attached it with cute twine and a button but I took this picture before I had added that on there. Sorry. So do you want to see how it looks when you open it?
Well here is a pic of it with the lid off

Basically I replaced the circles with squares that were the same size as my cubes.

Well this post is long enough, I hope that you all enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Congrats class of 2012

Even though I graduated a couple of years ago I still have a couple of friends and co workers who are just graduating. So when SVG Cuts came out
With their Graduation Day kit I knew I had to get to working on a project. In the middle of me working on projects they also released there 3D numbers kit. PERFECT timing right then and there I knew what I wanted to create.

I created everything in the picture using the two kits, I did use a couple of brads that I had purchased from Hobby Lobby as embellishments for the numbers. between the two kits they pretty much had everything I needed to create cute graduation gifts. Hope you are inspired and I love to read comments so please feel free to leave as many comments as you like.

Im a little tea pot

I'm back. I m sorry I have been gone for a bit but I had a lot of stuff going on and have not been able to post. But now I'm back with a lot of cute projects to show you this up coming week. The first one is the cutest teapot, tea cup, and saucier ever. It is the new releases from SVG Cuts called Tea for you and me. As soon as they released I knew I had to get to work because my mom loves tea and it would be great to go with her mothers day present.

Her kitchen is made up of blue and white and I just happen to have the cutest blue and white paper and knew I had to use it for this project. I just love how this came out. Mary from SVG cuts really out did her self on this file it is amazing I cannot wait to make more teapots and tea cups and spoons and saucers and... Lol just kidding that's it.

My daughter actually wants me to make her a set. She keeps saying I want to play tea time since she saw it. I want to make her a really cute girlie one. I'm just scared that as soon as I give it to her she is going to tear it up. Oh well I guess huh?

Well my mom really loved it and cannot wait to bring it to school to show off to her fellow co workers.

Mother's Day shadow box

I'm back with yet another 3D project and this time it was a very time consuming one at that. I had purchased a file on the Silhouette online store called 8x10 shadow box by Lorri Whitlock that I have been wanting to use and with mothers day right around the corner I thought this would be the perfect time to make it. So I got started picking out my papers and designs. Then I cut it out and started assembling. I couldn't wait to have the finished product so I could start decorating it the way I wanted. Well I had to wait, I ended up waiting almost 3 days before I could finish it up. Not because it was hard but because I couldn't catch a break. I was super busy. Oh well enough blabbering I know you are anxious to see the project so here it goes...

Besides the shadow box I used a file by SVG Cuts called Lunch with Mom for both the flowers and the I Love You phrase. I also used another SVG Cuts file called Ryan's Play Date for the letters M O M. I had so much fun making this that I cannot wait to make another one for my mother in law. I will post pics of that one also when I am done.

jewelry Box

Hello my crafty friends,

I have been trying to put this jewelry box together since SVG Cuts released the Playful Parlour Kit. I was finally able to complete it yesterday. I have had the idea pondering in my head for a while and finally had the chance to cut it all out.  So lets take a look at it.
I used the Playful Parlour kit from SVG Cuts to cut out the box. I created my own little box inside to be able to put the ballerina on. I punched a hole and then put a little pink eyelet in it, then I took some floral wire and wrapped in a spring shape and attached it to the ballerina and then through the hole to the box. I did this so when you close the box and then you open it up again she will pop back up. For the little girl I used Lettering Delights Glam Girls Paper Dress up  SVG set.

Here is a picture of the box closed up. I believe the paper that I used was a paper pack from Teressa Collins I just cant remember the name of it though, sorry.
